There’s something about thisscene which caught my eye

When I really analyse it I’m certain it’s the geometry and grid-like structures that caught my eye. The lines as seen in the windows, brickwork and door not only create a sense of space but for me, more importantly, a sense of order and thus control. In light protest this oder is then broken up by the more random, haphazard placement of plants and foreground objects. With all my work I speak of polarities, polarities which are intended to be analogous of the polarities within the human condition. My intention is to create paintings where these polarities come together.

Where they bridge to becomeharmonious and one.
