Created during our first Lockdown this painting is about the unfolding of a new order, an order wherein unity and comradery for our fellow citizens are vital for human strength, growth and triumph over adversity.

This character, featured in this work amongst others, came into being through collage. Over the months as I’ve got to know it I sometimes wonder if it’s my alter ego. It certainly possesses characteristics I aspire to have, namely a confidence in the face of fear.
